On August 25, 2006 over 300 people from around Indiana converged on the city of New Whiteland (Greenwood), Indiana. In 19 hours, a 2900 square foot church building complete with an auditorium with seating for around 150 people, 1 nursery, a large pastoral office, completely finished restrooms and a sizeable vestibule. All utilities, heating and air conditioning, complete with furnishings, that’s right, was COMPLETELY finished for the dedication service on Sunday morning!!!
Church In A Day is a nationally sponsored program of the United Pentecostal Church International. Over 300 people from all around Indiana started at 6:30AM on Friday, August 25 through 1:30AM on Saturday the 26th when the congregation of Liberty Tabernacle started to move furniture in. Two services were held in the facility on Sunday, August 27, starting at 10:00AM. Four Jesus seekers received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, two of those individuals took upon the name of Jesus in water baptism, and a lady with rheumatoid arthritis was miraculously healed (and made a few laps dancing around the sanctuary). Church In A Day is a great feel good story and the community rallies around the unity of the people helping a small church build their building in a day! Come, join us for the next Church In A Day!!
