- Some say they doubt Jesus was even a real person. Did a man named Jesus ever walk the streets in Jerusalem? Did someone named Jesus die on the cross? Is there anywhere outside of the Bible that mentions this "Jesus"? Or is this "Jesus" just a made-up fairy tale like so many others? Turns out there is more than one source from the ancient world which mention the man Jesus. He was a flesh & blood person who lived and died and rose again in the 1st century A.D. Here are a few of the ancient historians and politicians who mention the man Jesus (not always kindly) in their writings...
